There are three steps involved in the process of becoming a sister of Sigma Alpha Omega®. Each of these phases are outlined below. If you have any further questions about the process, please send us an email to let us know!

 

Step 1: Recruitment

Recruitment events are a wonderful way to get to know the sisters of Sigma Alpha Omega® and to learn more about the sorority itself. There is a $20 application fee that is due during recruitment week. Recruitment is typically a week long and occurs sometime in the first month of Fall/Spring semester. You should attend all recruitment events. this will show us that you are serious about joining our sisterhood.

 

Step 2: Candidate Process

Once you have accepted our invitation to become a candidate, you will go through an eight week candidate period. During this period, you eill attend a weekly meeting and be asked to complete various task with your candidate class. The semester dues for a candidate are $275, which will include everything you do throughout the process. The money, time, and effort that you will spend during this time will prove to be well worth it at the end of the candidate period.

 

Step 3: Sisterhood

Once you accept our invitation to join and become a sister, you will go through a short initation process. At the end of this process, you will be an official sister of Sigma Alpha Omega®!
